Weekly Group Workouts

Please note:

  • Weather and special events may change times and locations for the workouts. Changes are announced via the email listserve.

  • For runs that start at Fleet Feet, please meet in front of the store, not inside, and please try to keep the stairs and ramp freely accessible to patrons.

  • Also, the rest rooms in Fleet Feet are for employees only. There are public restrooms in Carr Mill.

Running

Day Time Place Run
Mon 5:45 am UNC Wellness Center 2.5 - 5 miles, January through mid-March.      See details here.
Tues 7:00 pm Seawell Elementary School parking lot. More info at www.trailheads.org/

Social Run - all distances and paces welcome! And in keeping with the 'social' side, there's a get-together after the last run of the month.

Wed 6:00 pm UNC Wellness Center
Part of the UNC Wellness Center Multisport Club and is targeted to runners looking for a specific workout (drills, hills,  tempo, intervals,etc) to improve performance. Must be able to run at least 1 mile continuously (run/walk up to 3 miles).  The class heads outdoors on time so arrive early in the lobby so you are not left behind. 
 Wed 6:30 pm Belk Track UNC

Speed work and interval training.

No 'formal' workouts scheduled yet...check back for updates.

Thurs 6:00 pm Chatham Market Place, Pittsboro Mixed distances...beginners are welcome!  Distances will start short and slowly build.

Long(ish) Runs: various distances up to 20+ miles. Groups run at paces from 7-10 minutes per mile so don't be intimidated - come join us!
